How to view an Augmented Reality experience?

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that allows you to superimpose digital elements on a real environment, creating a sort of “improvement” of reality.

Until recently, to try an AR experience, it was necessary to download proprietary apps on which companies, with expensive development costs, created ad hoc campaigns.

Today, thanks to Web Augmented Reality (WebAR), this new marketing tool can be viewed directly via a web browser (Safari, Google Chrome, etc…)

To access an Augmented Reality experience on the web, just use a mobile device equipped with a camera, such as a smartphone or tablet, and have a stable internet connection.

Once you have everything you need, you will need to activate one of the triggers made available, such as a QrCode or a link and follow the instructions provided to view the experience.

After that, given that this type of technology works through the recognition of a surface or an image, once landed within the scene, the device you have available will have to be “pointed” towards one of these two physical elements, so that the experience can be activated fully.

It is important to underline that, in order to obtain an optimal rendering of the experience, it will be important to have a device equipped with a good quality camera and a stable internet connection.

In conclusion, visualizing a WebAR experience is quite simple.

With these few simple premises, it will be possible to involve users with immersive, engaging experiences and with incredible potential in terms of increased awareness, sales and interactions!
